$6,500 grant
The Golden Square Bowls & Croquet Club have a rich history, celebrating their centenary in 2022, marking a notable 100-year journey of dedication and sportsmanship.
With the assistance of a Benefit Bendigo grant the GS B&C Club have been able to replace the VERY OLD carpet in their Club Rooms. The carpet had certainly seen better days, and was a huge safety risk that posed dangerous trip-hazards for club members and visitors.
With a thoughtful spruce up, which included opting for carpet squares that could be easily replaced if damaged, the club hopes to be able to appeal to new community groups to use their space. Beyond the greens, the Club invite people to experience their hospitality at their licensed venue. Whether it’s a casual game of barefoot bowls, or hosting special functions, their doors are open wide to welcome everyone.
Benefit Bendigo is thrilled to have assisted to make the GS B&C Club Room space more appealing and safe for members and visitors.
